One of my favorite sessions was a family who wanted portraits that reflected their whole heart — including their dog. What began with a bit of uncertainty quickly unfolded into effortless laughter and genuine connection. Their pup happily took center stage, the kids relaxed, and the studio filled with an ease that can’t be staged. By the end, they left not only with timeless artwork for their home, but with a shared experience woven into the images themselves. That’s the beauty of it — portraits that hold both elegance and memory.
Bringing generations together
I had the joy of photographing this family once before, and getting to see them again — now with a busy, curious one-year-old in tow — was pretty special.
We headed into a golden hour field for a little Field of Dreams magic, capturing the giggles, cuddles, running, and beautifully chaotic moments that come with this season of life.

My approach to family photography in the Snoqualmie Valley and Seattle area is relaxed, playful, and designed to keep everyone engaged — from the littlest ones to the hardest-to-impress teens.

I’m a mom, too. I know family photos can feel like a LOT.
Getting everyone dressed. Convincing the toddler to cooperate. Bribing the teenager to put the phone down. Getting Grandma, Grandpa, parents, and every cousin in the same place at the same time. 😂
**I get the dread. And I also get why you do it.**
Because these chaotic, exhausting, beautiful seasons of family life are fleeting. The kids grow. The grandparents age. Families change. And one day, these are the photographs you’ll hold onto.
So bring me your chaos. **No family is too big, too loud, too wiggly, or too complicated.** Toddlers? Teens? Grandparents? Multiple generations? YES. I’m in.
My job is to take the pressure off. I’ll guide you through what to wear, where to go, what to do, and how to make the whole experience feel easy and fun. You don't have to know how to pose or make everyone smile. **That’s my job.**

1. Say Hello
During our brief phone call, I'll gather valuable information to tailor the session to your goals. We'll discuss potential locations for your photoshoot, explore the looks you're aiming for, and secure a suitable date. Once I've collected these details, I'll provide you with a more accurate estimate of your financial investment. Every client is unique, and how much you spend is completely up to you & your specific preferences and the final products you want on your walls.
2. Schedule it
We'll schedule a quick Zoom call to iron out all the details for your session. I'll assist you in ensuring that your chosen outfits perfectly align with the look you're aiming for or help you pick some, so that they'll look stunning adorning your home. We'll confirm the location and time of the shoot, and I'll also provide some helpful tips, if needed, to ensure smooth cooperation from pets or children during the photoshoot. I'll make sure everything is just right for your unforgettable session!
3. Planning it
Your session day has arrived! I'll be there with you every step of the way to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. From ensuring everyone's outfits look fantastic in each shot to keeping your kids relaxed and engaged, I'll take care of every detail. I'll expertly direct and pose everyone, to be sure we capture all the shots that align with the goals you've set for your photoshoot.
4. Your Session
We'll schedule a Zoom meeting approximately 2 weeks after your session. During this virtual meeting, I'll present a slideshow featuring all of your images. Together, we'll select your favorites and discuss any specific preferences you have. Then, I'll create mock-ups of different layout options using images of your own walls, allowing you to visualize exactly how your portraits will look in your home.
Once we've finalized the design, your custom wall art will be delivered straight to your door, ready to hang! Simply place it on your wall, sit back, and relish in the beauty of your new family heirloom.
